Terra Lens
iOS Universel / Photo et vidéo
Terra Lens is an efficient GPX tracker for geo-tagging photos & videos in your iCloud Photos Library. Terra Lens was designed for Photographers who need decently accurate location data added to photos taken but don't need the hassle of using a hardware GPS tracker, or manually have to deal with gpx files & syncing them after. Terra Lens provides a much easier solution with the following features:
* Only Photos & Videos without location information inside the date range that the tracker was active are considered for tagging
* Location Tracking is as efficient as possible, with "Battery Optimizations" enabled, we only get location updates when the device has moved significantly since the last location update. We have tested on a number of devices, through an all day event, Terra Lens has used at most 2% battery with "Battery Optimizations" enabled, and about 7% with it off. Turning off battery optimizations provides a location (while moving) roughly every 5-10 minutes, and 10-30 minutes while moving with it enabled.
* Terra Lens does not download your photos from iCloud to tag them, instead it looks at the metadata of your photos and simply contributes to the metadata with location information, this allows Terra Lens to quickly tag over 1,000 photos/videos in seconds.
* All location data & photos are never shared, This app functions offline, and does not communicate with any online services, it relies on iCloud Photos syncing to work
* When tagging, Terra Lens will interpolate between the two nearest gps locations (in time) and tag your photos in between two points. This means if you were to take 10 photos over 10 seconds while moving, it would actually spread those photos across the road instead of piling all the photos on the most recent gps point.
The goal for TerraLens was to easily tag everything taken from cameras without location information if you are syncing to iCloud Photos.
