What exactly is AN/AAR-47?
The AN/AAR-47 is a self-defensive system installed onto aircraft for the purpose of spotting approaching hostile heat-seeking missiles. It uses infrared sensors and engineered software for threat detection and warning, allowing countermeasure deployment and evasive action.
