awFEM offers two dimensional elastostatic numerical analysis by the finite element method (FEM).
awFEM can be utilized to study the mechanical properties of mechanical parts or civil engineering structures, or to learn the FEM technology.
It supports all functions of an integrated FEM software as followings.
●2D Modeler
- defines geometry by merging or cutting with polygons, rectangles or circles.
●Mesher
- automatically generates a mesh that its fineness can be controlled by a density image.
●Conditoner
- enters boundary and etc. conditions.
●FEM Solver
- supports to plane strain and plane stress problem.
●Visualizer
- offers color-contour and deformation view of object.
awFEM was developed with "FEM in your pocket" concept to be realized that you can perform only with a iPhone/iPad until visualization of FEM result from model geometry definition in very short time at wherever you are.
You can create three models without purchasing options, and perform the basic numerical analysis functions. To create four or more models, please purchase "Professional Specs" in the app.
After the purchase, export/import functions can be also utilized. You can transfer awFEM data as Email attached files between iOS devices. Additionally, mesh and condition data can be exported as a text file. Please refer the built-in manual for the text file format.

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
Line contour can be selected in Visualizer.
Following bugs concerned with Visualizer are corrected.
・Analysis conditions were not outputed in PDF output.
・Contour was hard to see because of heavy edge line when display scale was expanded.
