Kael is a smarter way to block distracting apps and websites. Instead of a rigid on/off blocker you'll disable in a week, Kael asks you why you want in and Claude decides whether that reason earns you time.

HOW IT WORKS

You tap a blocked app. Kael intercepts and asks for a one-line reason. Claude — the AI built into Kael — judges it based on what's actually going on in your life: your schedule, your deadlines, the time of day, even where you are. A good reason gets you a temporary, time-boxed pass. When time's up, the block comes back on its own. A weak reason gets denied — and Kael asks you to reflect for a moment instead.

No willpower required. No cheating the timer. Just honest friction, exactly when you need it.

KAEL ADAPTS TO YOUR DAY

Kael's strictness isn't a setting you fiddle with — it's derived automatically from context:

• Focus mode during your scheduled class and work blocks, or when a deadline is closing in — strict judging, short grants
• Balanced mode during weekday work hours and at your saved study spots
• Ease and Night modes when your day is done — lenient judging, longer grants
• Lock In manually anytime you need to buckle down

BUILT FOR STUDENTS (AND ANYONE WITH DEADLINES)

• Weekly routine: block out classes, work, and focus time on a simple grid
• Deadlines: track what's due; Kael automatically tightens up as the clock runs down
• Calendar sync: pull events from Apple and Google Calendar, auto-sorted into events and deadlines
• To-dos: tell Kael what you're getting done today — it remembers, and brings it up when you try to wander
• Location bubbles: draw a zone around your library or office and Kael activates when you arrive
• Morning briefing: a daily AI-planned outlook built from your tasks, deadlines, and sleep

REST IS PART OF FOCUS

• Quick breaks: schedule real breaks that override blocking — after a short written reflection on what the break is for
• Night check-in: set tomorrow's wake time and plan, and see what late-night scrolling costs you in sleep
• Wind-down reminders before bed

STAY ACCOUNTABLE TOGETHER

• Add friends and form groups with invite codes
• Leaderboards ranked by focus streak
• See each other's streaks, blocks, and approval rates

UNDERSTAND YOUR PATTERNS

• Every intercept is logged: what you asked for, what you said, what you got
• Focus streaks, daily summaries, and mode timelines
• Learn when you actually break — and let Kael guard those hours harder

PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS

Kael uses Apple's Screen Time framework to block apps — that's why it asks for Screen Time permission at setup. Location stays on your device and is only used for the bubbles you create. Your unlock reasons are judged in the moment, not used to profile you.

Stop negotiating with yourself. Let Kael do it.
