The London Clay Pile (L.C. Pile) App is a tool that enables engineering and construction professionals, involved in the design and construction of piled foundations, to easily estimate dimensions of rotary bored and continuous flight auger (CFA) piles.

The App assumes a simplified geological profile that is commonly encountered within the London Basin. Notwithstanding the above, the app may also be applicable to other regions.

Based on input provided by the User in the "Calculator" page, the App calculates the following minimum requirements:
- Pile toe elevation.
- Drilling depth.
- Pile length.

The assessment is performed in accordance with the London District Surveyors Association "Guidance Notes for the Design of Straight Shafted Bored Piles in London Clay". The App adopts the "traditional working stress" design approach, based on lumped factors of safety.

The App also provides design notifications to the User that may help to identify various design risks, which may require further consideration.

The App also includes the following:

- A detailed "Help" reference, which provides a description of the various inputs and the operation of the calculator.

- An "About Us" page. If the User has an internet connection, the page will load the A-squared Studio Engineers website. Otherwise, a secondary static content page is shown, with a recommendation to visit the A-squared Studio Engineers' website.

- A "Disclaimer" page that removes all liability for the use of the app from A-squared Studio Engineers, its developers and subsidiaries.
