AI in EI is a clinical reference app built by an occupational therapist for Early Intervention clinicians working with children birth to three.
Whether you're an OT, PT, SLP, or developmental specialist, this app puts peer-reviewed developmental milestones, red flags, clinical decision trees, and parent coaching scripts at your fingertips — organized the way you actually work.
TWO MODES FOR HOW YOU WORK:
Session Mode — Use during home visits. Select a domain and age range to get:
- Quick Scan checklists for rapid developmental screening
- Clinical decision trees with if/then guidance
- Session flow suggestions with time estimates
- Parent scripts you can use word-for-word
- Graded activities with materials, steps, and what to look for
Reference Mode — Use between sessions for study and planning. Browse all five developmental domains with detailed milestone progressions, red flags, and cross-domain connections.
FIVE DEVELOPMENTAL DOMAINS:
- Motor (gross motor, fine motor, reflexes, postural control)
- Communication (receptive, expressive, pragmatic, speech sounds)
- Adaptive (feeding, self-care, daily routines)
- Personal-Social (attachment, social engagement, emotional regulation)
- Cognitive (object permanence, problem-solving, symbolic play)
CLINICAL FEATURES:
- Condition-specific guidance for Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, prematurity, and more
- Bilingual development notes throughout
- Cross-domain connections showing how development interacts across areas
- Evidence-based parent education for every age range
- Clinical references with full citations
BUILT FOR EI PRACTICE:
Every recommendation reflects how Early Intervention actually works — in living rooms, during routines, with families. Clinical benchmarks are calibrated for early identification, consistent with the purpose of IDEA Part C.
Massachusetts Edition — includes MA-specific regulatory references, assessment tools (BDI-3), and service delivery guidance.
All clinical content is informed by peer-reviewed research including Zubler et al. (2022), CDC developmental milestones, Case-Smith & O'Brien, Rossetti, Bowlby, Piaget, and more. Full reference list available in-app.
Important: AI in EI is a clinical reference tool for licensed healthcare professionals. It does not replace clinical judgment, professional training, standardized assessment, or supervision. All clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the practitioner.
