TaxaDB is a mobile database platform that makes taxonomic databases and data available offline on iOS devices.

The taxonomic databases, that are available as open data, have been adapted for use in the app without changing the essential taxonomic structure and content of the original source data.

This allows you to browse and search datasets with hundreds of thousands of taxonomic units offline for scientific names, synonyms, and common names in English, French, and German language, if they occur in the original databases.

The taxonomic databases are updated regularly and are available as In-app purchases. And there will be always some for free ;-)

The taxonomic data backbones currently used in this application are GermanSL (https://germansl.infinitenature.org) and ITIS (https://www.itis.gov).

Fixes an issue where not all freely available in-app purchases could be displayed and loaded. With this version you can see all 12 available free in-app purchases and download them after logging in with a valid Apple ID.
