Siren Component
This phase handles trigger alerts for when the user is in a dangerous situation, so making it more accessible assists with ease and efficiency. In this view, the user can indicate the level of danger they perceive themselves to be in. The location retrieval process is automated and pre-authorized, so the user doesn’t have to take additional actions. The send siren button lets users send the generated alert to their existing siren contacts.
Chat Component
This phase handles one-on-one conversations between a pair of users. The users can engage in a normal conversation. It also acts as a route for them to receive the siren alerts triggered by the siren component. The leading chat view contains a list of users communicating with the signed-in user. If the signed-in user wants to speak with someone not present in the view, they would click the floating button, select an authenticated user, and start a conversation with them.
Channel Component
This phase handles group conversations involving more than two individuals, where every participant in the group has equal liberty to initiate a conversation once created. The siren alerts are not sent through this path, but it is highly relevant for sending more detailed security updates to perceived groups such as roommates, family, etc. A new group can be created by clicking the floating button and selecting all intended users.
Settings Component
This phase helps to keep the personal information of the user updated. This includes name, status, and profile image. It also handles the user's authentication state by allowing them to log out at their discretion.
