Gather app is a modern take on a social media platform, where you can share events you stumbled upon, publish events you created, add comments on the events you attended and recommend them all to your friends. The goal is to share everything that is HAPPENNING NOW – not yesterday, not tomorrow, now. You just open up a map and explore what’s going on around you, wherever you are!
So how does it work?
We want to make it easy for you to discover, create and share events going on around you, events you created or ones you heard about through your friends. Take your social life to their full potential, and make sure you never miss an event you want to attend!
Event search
Once logged in, a map of your surroundings will appear. In this integrated map, you will see all the events going on around you. They will be marked with a badge indicating the type of event (music, art, sport, food etc.). These will change in size according to how much interest an event has in the community!
Another method of searching for events is, well, searching for them through the search bar. This also includes filtering by event type – so you can get the best results suited for you.
In addition, you can visit personal profiles on the app – of friends, creators of events and locations, to find what events they are planning and sharing.
Event creation
You can create your own event to be shared on the app. This includes an event you created (like a garage sale or street performance) or simply adding an event you happen to come across.
Creating an event is as easy as 123 – choosing a type of event, adding the date, time and location, giving a title and description – and you’re there! Once created, you can add photos, videos and comments for the event, and of course – share it.
Other users will be able to add these as well, and make the event page a thrilling community for sharing!
Event owning
If an event was added to the application, and you are the master mind behind it – you can opt-in and claim this event as an owner. This will allow you to add more information, pictures, videos and share it as your event (next time – you will be the one creating the event)
Personal profile
Loyal to our promise, Gather App is a new take in a social platform. This means you will also get your own personal profile, complete with your app timeline – where you will be able to share the events you attended, your pictures, videos and comments and your interactions with the other users.
This also means you can follow and be followed – this will allow you to keep up to date with event creators you like, where your friends are going and have to option to share your own events with your following.
The profile also includes badges – your own personal reward system for activity in the event community. The more you attend, share and create – the more experience you get!
