Traditional matchmaking is a combination of processes, relationship dynamics and norms that have evolved over centuries. It employs often formal and sometimes informal connections that span across a number of sources that can be from family, friends and even referrals from acquaintances.

Typically, these connections are used to enquire, search and verify a potential match.
