Hyperlocal is a location based media (audio/video/text) publishing and discovery platform. Content creators can increase the value of their content by visually attaching their post to a location on map. Users can search for media around a particular location of interest on the map and have results rendered on top of a map. Users can also subscribe for their area of interest and receive notifications whenever media is uploaded to that location. The platform allows media such as photos, videos, audio only content and text posts. Content creators can mark their content as news, tourism, environmental, classifieds etc., User can search for content of interest in a particular category in their location of interest. Users can like and comment on media they discovered. Users can also initiate a conversation with content creator and follow them to receive future posts. Users will receive a feed constructed from the posts of the people they follow. Content creators are allowed to upload content that is not attached to any location. The platform restricts the search to a radius of 9KM at this time.

Content creators:
1. Post audio tours (audio only content) for popular tourism spots.
2. Post images of items for sale (classifieds) in a particular area
3. Ask questions (text only) relevant to a particular location tagged on map
4. Report hyperlocal news (citizen journalism) by attaching media to the relevant location and cover issues not addressed by traditional journalism.

Content consumers:
1. Search for audio tours in a tourism spot
2. Find items for sale around a particular area
3. Answer questions posted in their area of interest.
4. Like and comment on posts. If necessary, start a 1-1 conversation with the content creator.
5. Mark areas of interest and receive notifications whenever media is uploaded to that area.
6. Teleport to any location on the maps and search for photos/videos/text/audio in selected area of interest
