Pitch Speed Conversions



Quickly find the simulated pitch speed of your batting practice session.



The three variables…

- Actual Pitch Speed

- Distance from Pitcher to Batter (measure from pitcher’s back foot to home plate)

- Simulated Pitch Speed (based on batter’s equivalent reaction time)



BPA allows input of any two of the three variables to calculate the other. Calculations are based on 60 feet, 6 inches. Calculations do not take into account pitcher’s stride lengths, release point of ball, etc.



NOTE… some conversion charts are based on ball travel distance rather than 60 feet, 6 inches.
