This app is for people that take their cycle training seriously. Train with power, and love data!
If you train with power, then you know why your FTP value is so important. My app lets you record the results of each test so you can see your progress over time, but what is more important is that you can record details of where and how the test was done. If you train with purpose then you know the importance of replicating test conditions for each test. There are many great platforms already available for testing, but FTP Cycling Tracker allows you to record the full picture so you can really dig into what's working.
FTP is important but watts per kilo is vital. To enable you to track this metric too, you can store your bodyweight in the app. For best results weigh yourself immediately before doing your FTP Test.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
*FTP TRACKING*:
- Record each test: Watts, date, your pre-test bodyweight, part of day, indoor or outdoor, platform used, free form notes (such as when and what you ate pre-test or type of warm up)
- Track percentage changes
- Understand more about your training and results
- App reminder alerts to your phone when your next test is due. Handy for self coached athletes.
*CYCLISTS SPECIALITY CALCULATOR*:
1) You are preparing for an event. Enter the distance in Kilometres or Miles (…bonus you can use this app to convert between units too). Then enter your target speed (…yep we use either KPH or MPH and flick between the two). The app then calculates your finish time. Or enter your target time and the app works out your target speed.
2) If you use “split timers” on your cycling computer then you can enter your split distance in the app and we work that out for you too… Of course we do that in metric or imperial and let you flick between them.
FAIR PRICE POLICY.
This App has a very low one time charge, which helps pay for the time I spent writing it. For this one time fee you get support (if needed) and updates for the life of the app. The price is probably less than you would pay for a coffee during your ride :)
A straight forward, easy to use app, that gives you your key numbers to focus on in the race as well as a convenient planning took for multi-sport athletes that want to calculate the duration of the bike leg as you create your pre-race plan. I wrote this app for myself… I race in Triathlon and TT. I wanted a no fuss quick way to do unit conversion as well as estimate my finish times and know what split time I am supposed to hit. FTP came along because I wanted to more easily visualise trends and don’t like to be locked into the expensive training platforms I subscribe to.

FTP matters but w/Kg (watts per kilogram) is crucial to your real world performance.
In this release I am excited to be adding to the Tracker function so you can get better insights of your progress. Before your FTP test weigh yourself. After your test when you are journaling your test results, make sure to add in your weight (in Kg). As always, try to add as much detail as possible in the notes (food, hydration status, mood, sleep, etc.)
When you review the test entry you will now be able to see your FTP, but also your w/Kg and percentage improvement.
To get the best from this new feature make sure to weigh yourself immediately before starting your test, don't rely on your bodyweight yesterday or last week.
What your weight is doing is just as important as improving your bodies ability to express pure power. Seeing this data and % changes is an eye opener!
