Seeking to optimise your social doubles/singles, round-robin tournaments, team challenges, or knockout events? Look no further than MatchUp. Whether you are organising matches for tennis, pickleball, badminton, table tennis, padel, or any social game or tournament, MatchUp’s user-friendly interface and versatile features cater to your needs. From small groups to large clubs, MatchUp is the preferred application for all organisers, offering simplicity with sophisticated functionality.
**Players/Teams:**
- Easily add, edit, and manage players, teams, and pairs.
- Record email addresses and phone numbers for seamless communication with all or selected players.
- Tap to select players who are available to participate in a round.
- Long press (pause) a player allow players to opt out of a round during social doubles/singles.
**Social Doubles/Singles:**
- Customise the number of rounds, courts, and preferred match formats (e.g., Rounds, King of the Court, Up Next) at any time.
- Implement manual override for adjustments.
**Round-Robin:**
- Doubles: Partner with all other players once and oppose all other players twice within the same group (with the exception of groups 5 and 9, where each player receives a bye).
- Singles/Teams/Fixed Pairs: Participate in an all-play-all format once (with a bye for an odd number of players/pairs).
- Mixed Doubles: Partner with each player in another group.
- Repeat the cycle up to four times.
- Option to include playoff elimination for the top two, four, or eight players/teams in singles/teams/fixed pairs and the top four, eight, or sixteen in doubles.
**Team Challenge:**
- Matchmaking between two teams (groups).
- Select two teams to compete against each other.
- Doubles: Partner with all other team members once and play against every player in the opposing team.
- Singles/Fixed Pairs: Play against every player/pair in the opposing team once (with a bye for an odd number of players).
**Elimination Knockout Tournament**
- Single elimination knockout event for up to 64 players with the option for a consolation bracket.
- Double elimination knockout event for up to 32 players.
**Ladder League**
- Singles and doubles with promotion/relegation after each round.
**External Display:**
- Provides an external display option to showcase the match schedule, countdown timer, leaderboard, or club message. These views have been optimised for large screens.
- Connectivity is required via Airplay2, Apple TV, or Lightning AV adapter.
**Other Features:**
- All matches can be saved for future reference.
- Scores can be recorded for up to five sets or games.
- A countdown timer can be set with a number of different options.
- A flexible points system allows for awarding points for each saved event.
- The leaderboard displays the top performers based on the points allocation. Users can sort the leaderboard by total points, match ratio, or win count.
- A combined leaderboard can be generated to present results from multiple saved events.
- Players and matches can be exported and shared with other MatchUp users or another device.
- Customization options allow users to modify venue names, event descriptions, and group types.
- CSV extracts can be generated for loading into DUPR.
**In-App Purchases:**
Some features are available through in-app purchases. The free version allows up to 15 players or teams. The Organizer Plus version increases the limit to 50 players or teams. The Club Pack offers unlimited player and unlocks all functionality.
