Welcome to Spooled, a brand new digital magazine for new-age anglers. It’s chock-full of cutting edge information from Australia’s best outdoors writers and photographers.

Spooled is not a print mag, nor is it an e-mag. It’s a dedicated digital magazine available on Smartphones and Tablets, that can be downloaded and read at your leisure; you don’t have to be online for access.

Spooled is engaging, it’s informative and it’s interactive. As well as plenty of great pictures and text, you’ll find a range of video clips to complement our feature stories, making the educational aspect far more effective.

WHY A DIGITAL MAGAZINE?
It’s an online world and the consumption of media has changed. Anglers want timely information, they want detailed descriptions and they want it for FREE! We know this because we’re anglers ourselves. So with that in mind, that’s exactly what Spooled magazine is going to deliver – free, informative content in an aesthetically appealing digital magazine. You won’t even need to leave the house to grab yourself a copy… it will only require touching a couple of buttons.

WHAT TO EXPECT
A real magazine for real anglers. We know that fishing appeals to a wide range of people with varying skill levels therefore Spooled Magazine caters to both the weekend anglers and enthusiasts alike. It’s not about boosting egos – it’s about catching more fish on a consistent basis. That’s why we all go fishing isn’t it?

The magazine has been laid out with a simple goal in mind and that’s to inform. But don’t think we’ll be skimping on the design and layout – we’re all for style here. Articles will be clear, concise and straight to the point and because it can often be easier to show, rather than tell, we’ve included plenty of video content into the mix. When you see a logo in the magazine, touch it and a pop up screen will appear with the relative website. Other interactive features include the flashing Icons, touch these icons and a pop up will appear with the following information:

Camera Icon - Camera specs that were used to take picture
Caption Icon - Captions for the pictures
Video Camera Icon - Description of the video’s content
Fish Icon - Overview of the species being featured.
