Have you ever combat traffic to get to your favorite sport activity only to arrive and it started to rain at that location? Have you ever waited in the clubhouse while the rain bucketed down and you wondered if you should run to your car or wait for the rain to end? Have you started drying out your tennis court and ended up in disappointment because it started to drizzle after it is almost dried up? If the answers are yes, then SportsWeather is for you.
SportsWeather is different from other weather app because when it rain, they all show a radar map of rain clouds, but offered no advice about what would happen next. Knowing what is going to happen at the exact location for your activity can be crucially important for planning your day. Sometimes a short distance between your home and your baseball field can have completely different weather.
- The Minute view provides predictions about when rain will start over the next hour.
- The Hour view provides hour-by-hour forecasts for the next 12 hours.
- The Time Travel view allows you to query the weather for a specific time, past or future. This can be useful if you want to know if it will rain tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. when you are about to leave for your soccer game.
- SportsWeather evaluates the weather conditions for playing tennis, golf, baseball or soccer. The evaluation takes into account weather conditions that are relevant for the selected sports, for example, temperature, precipitation, strength of the wind, and relative humidity. A green rating indicates the weather is ideal for the sports. A yellow rating indicates the sports should be carried out with care or postpone for the next hour. A red rating indicates the weather condition is not good for the sports at all.
SportsWeather is powered by Forecast.io which aggregates a wide range of weather sources together to provide the most accurate forecast possible for the location you specified.
