Mindme provides pendant and wrist-worn devices designed to support people to lead independent lives. Our devices are suitable for people with dementia or learning difficulties who may wander. The Mindme Locate app enables carers to easily check the device’s most recently reported location.

In addition to showing the position on a map, the app also displays:

The date and time the location was reported
How long the device has been at that location
The nearest address
The longitude and latitude coordinates
The device’s battery level

For security purposes, the app automatically logs you out when you exit. The device’s username is saved, so you only need to re-enter your PIN to log back in.

Please note that an active Mindme device and subscription are required to use the app.

Previously, when the GPS signal was weak or unavailable, it was difficult to determine whether the device was still working properly.

We can now more clearly distinguish between:

A device with poor mobile signal that is not reporting at all
A device with a good mobile signal that is reporting successfully, but has poor GPS reception

In each case, the app provides tailored guidance to help you resolve the issue.

You can also switch between different map styles to suit your preference.
