Chess Clock: Game Timer
iPhone / Style de vie
Chess Clock: Game Timer is a calm, offline chess clock for two players on one device. Built for serious play — bullet, blitz, rapid, or classical — with every standard timing mode and a post-game review that reads only your move timings, never a chess engine.
WHY IT EXISTS
Most chess clocks treat the digits as decoration. We treat them as the product. Numbers are big and readable under time pressure, the active side is unambiguous, and the timer keeps running even with the phone in silent mode. The interface stays out of your way during a game and gives you something useful to look at after one.
EVERY STANDARD TIME CONTROL
• No increment — classic sudden-death timing.
• Fischer — fixed seconds added after each of your moves.
• Bronstein — time spent on a move is returned, up to the set increment.
• Simple delay — a countdown delay runs before your main time starts ticking.
Choose from built-in presets (Bullet 1+0, Blitz 5+0, Blitz 3+2, Rapid 15+10, Tournament 90+30, and more) or set your own with a precise minute/second editor.
POST-GAME REVIEW
After each game, see a move-by-move time chart — your timings against your opponent's, side by side. Honest stats: total games, average time per move, flag falls, and your most-played control. In-the-moment hints note where you lingered (often the opening) and where you rushed — heuristic rules from your timings, never a move-quality verdict. No engine, no cloud.
NICE DETAILS
• Two-sided board: the upper player's clock is rotated 180° so it reads correctly when the phone sits between you on a table.
• Side swap with one tap — choose which colour sits at the bottom.
• Low-time pulse alerts your opponent visually.
• Sound alerts work even in silent mode.
• Haptic feedback on every move.
• Themes: Classic Wood, Ivory, Green Felt.
