Fisherman's Log Book
iOS Universel / Style de vie
Fisherman’s Log Book — by anglers, for anglers.
A simple, beautifully made journal for the fishing trips you don’t want to forget. No accounts to create. No ads to scroll past. No data sold behind your back. Just a quiet, well-built log book that lives on your iPhone and iPad and syncs privately through your own iCloud.
Why we built it
Anglers spend a lot of time on docks, in waders, and on boats — and they also don't need to spend a lot of time fighting through apps that want their location for marketing, or email for newsletters, and patience for video ads. We thought there was a better way.
So we built Fisherman’s Log Book around three simple ideas:
1. You own your data. Period.
This is a paid app. That’s deliberate. We don’t take sponsorships, we don’t sell ads, and we don’t ship your trips off to analytics servers. Your catches, your photos, your locations, your notes — they live on your devices and in your private iCloud, and only you can see them. That is the deal, and we believe it is worth a few dollars.
2. Simple is almost always better.
The fish don’t care about feature lists. We’ve kept the app focused on the things that actually matter at the water: where you were, when you were there, what the conditions were, what you caught, and who you were with. No leaderboards. No social feeds. No challenges. Just a tidy log.
3. The angler is the sensor.
Most fishing apps pull weather from the nearest reporting station — which might be twenty miles away over a ridge on a different body of water. We let YOU enter what you actually saw and felt at your spot: the sky, the wind, the chop, the water clarity, the water temperature, the tide. Because the conditions at your spot are the only conditions that matter for your spot.
What it does
•Log each trip with date, location (auto-fill from GPS), and your own observations of weather and water
•Record catches by species, quantity, weight, length, lure, and bait — with a long list of common freshwater and saltwater species built in
•Note who you fished with — the app remembers your regular crew
•Attach photos from your library or take new ones with the camera
•Open any saved spot in Maps to find your way back
•Filter trips by season, this year, last year, last 30 days, or any custom range
•Print a beautifully formatted season summary or single-trip report
•Export your journal to CSV for spreadsheet analysis or backup
•Sync privately and automatically across your iPhone, iPad.
