Negotiation in marriage is especially important if spouses want to make thoughtful adjustments throughout life and avoid a lifestyle of maladjustment. Yet, for many, hearing the words, "Let's negotiate," can create feelings of worry or fear. Why? Well, maybe our past experiences have led us to being “strong-armed” into reluctant decisions, or decisions were simply compromises, with neither person getting what s/he wanted.

That’s what makes negotiation in marriage with the Policy of Joint Agreement different. This policy guides couples to use a process of problem solving where there is mutual enthusiastic agreement; two wisdoms coming together in unity to make the BEST decision!

The Let’s Negotiate mobile app was designed to guide you through this four-step process:

1) Agree to keep the process pleasant and safe
2) Share perspectives
3) Brainstorm with abandon
4) Choose a solution with the Policy of Joint Agreement
