The participation process is designed to be accessible, utilizing the app's existing platform:
Participants are asked to download and use the SniperSight: Eye Exercises app for a period of at least three months.
Users are then requested to report their findings on the Apple App Store review platform.
The developers have asked participants to include specific details in their reviews to make the data useful for the study. This includes:
Condition: The user's eye condition (e.g., near/far sightedness, astigmatism, eye strain...).
Age and Gender.
History: How long they have been using corrective lenses.
Users are encouraged to include their vision measurement (e.g., 20/20).
Treatment: Which specific SniperSight techniques were used.
Results: The outcomes experienced after using the app.
Study Goals
The study's primary objective is to gather a large sample of real-world user data to assess whether the eye exercises can help users improve their vision naturally and potentially reduce or eliminate the need for glasses or contacts. The initiative was announced via press releases in late 2024 and early 2025.
