The EasyTrend app is used to capture trend parameters for Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) turboprop and turbofan engines in flight and eliminate the need for paper trend forms.
This app can be used by both members and non-members of the Danish Engine Trend Analyzing (DETA) trend analysis service.

By submitting the recorded data for analysis with DETA the operator can follow the P&WC Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (ECTM®) program.

For aircrafts not equipped with an automatic trend data capturing device, pilots are normally required to enter the trend data onto a paper form, which again has to be scanned to be faxed or emailed, or perhaps even clean written before it can be sent. By using EasyTrend, the data will be processed in one single workload for the aircraft operator.
Only thing required is an email account on the iPad and occasional access to an internet connection.

The data will be sent directly to DETA by default by using the built in Mail app on the iPad. You may also send or copy the data to any other mail recipient you choose.
The trend data will be attached to the Email, and an additional message to the recipients can be entered as any other ordinary email message.

When in an area with limited internet access, the trend data will simply be placed in the email outbox like any ordinary email message. The data will then be sent the next time the mail app is opened in an area with internet access.

This app does not perform any analysis of the entered data nor is it designed to replace any existing trend monitoring and analysis program. Its sole purpose is to provide a platform to record the required data for easy transmission to DETA where the data will be processed using the P&WC approved WebECTM™ program.
