Waiver is a mobile application and fully integrated website that helps manage and prevent car maintenance by automating a vehicle manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule (that matrix usually found at the back of the owner’s manual).

Download - drive - and when parts & services are due (e.g., at 35,000 miles, etc.), vendors nearby are notified using Yelp! (e.g., within 10 miles of home, work, or school) and representatives from those businesses key in pricing and send it back for the owner to consider.

Swipe between shops - pick who you want to complete the work - and if you can’t commit, Waiver can remind you (bids are good for 48 hours).

By synchronizing owners with their recommended maintenance schedules, an often-ignored page in the back of the owner’s manual becomes a viable source of business leads, and by pricing those auto parts & services in real-time, vendors can quote labor & inventory based on current business conditions vs. relying on retail figures solely (perhaps a location’s prices could change after it exceeds its sales forecast or in order to help achieve it).

Competition between companies should help drive prices for maintenance down - automation means having to remember one less thing; performing recommended maintenance helps prevent part failure and improves vehicle safety.
