TL;DR: We spent 2024 rebuilding the app as our software tools were retired. Same look, better guts, 97.6% familiar UI, now with dark mode and a quick action menu. Found a bug? Let us know!
Phew - what an update!
This has been a year in the making (not entirely through choice).
The tools and software we use to develop the app have been retired so we've had to re-write the majority of the app code, update the UI and migrate everything to new supported platforms. Due to this momentous task, all the big features we wanted to work on have been on pause while we spent all of 2024 getting back to where we already were. Fun times.
Every page has been updated and we've tried to keep the same look and feel throughout. Some parts of the UI couldn’t be replicated without performance issues so you may notice a slightly new layout in some areas but the UI is 97.6% the same.
Along with the app overhaul, we've opened up the insurance reminder to all users and all reminders now include a 45-day notification in addition to the current 30 / 14 / 7 / 1-day notifications. The vehicle details page now has a quick action menu for important tasks, such as booking an MOT/service, buying tax, insurance, and breakdown cover. We’ve also added a much-requested dark mode option!
Lastly, after months of testing and feedback from beta testers there may still be a few hidden bugs littered around. If you spot one, please let us know so we can fix it in the next update.
