Edizioni Magnamare is a publishing house specializing in nautical science. Since 1999, it has published the 777 Pilot Book series, thanks to the incredible work carried out by its travelling team.
The guide is updated after regular exploration of all moorings, from harbours to mooring buoys. The sea is experienced at first hand, in order to understand all the difficulties that every mariner has to face.
The 777 Pilot Book Series have been prepared in the tradition of the ancient portolans (pilot charts), that used to include charts, chartlets and also descriptions of harbours and shelters. As a result, users today have an authoritative, comprehensive and useful tool to navigate in safety whilst maximising enjoyment.

Inside you will find:

OVERVIEW CHARTS: showing the main features, complete with lat. and long. grid, depths and other useful data (marks,
lights etc.).
Terrestrial features including main roads, residential areas and contour lines, to help predict wind conditions and understandthe landscape.

MOORING AREAS: i.e. harbours and mooring buoys, the number and size of available spaces, draft, facilities, fuellingstations and related contact information.

ANCHORAGE AREAS: are described, from those suitable for a brief swimming stop to those that provide good shelterin case of bad weather or to safely anchor overnight. Type of shelter, depths, rocks and the type of bottom are all indicated, together with the prevailing winds and currents, and suggestions regarding points of interest and the landscape.

QR CODE: Video-tutorials, satellite images or photographs that allow a virtual visit of the port or anchorage before arriving. All the multimedia content is free for 777 Pilot Book owners.

WEBSITES: we have featured and underlined the strategic ports, oriented to the transits, and added info to help you to explore the hinterland. But we didn’t stop here! For each port we selected the Marinas that proved the most attentive to the yachtsmen’s needs and we added an easy web domain, which is always the same, for you to find the useful numbers.
