Routespunkt Hiking Grid Diary is an outdoor adventure Travel Planner with:
- a Map to search and find places of interest to visit,
- a single-trip Camping Gear Planner and Tracker,
- a To Do List with related alerts to plan and track your hiking trip activities, and
- an open Canvas to outline your trip, and to journal your trek day experiences.
Take the app to your weekend backpacking trip, or to months of thru hiking when on vacation.

This is a Subscription based App (with a subset of features available in the free base version of the App):
a) Subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24-hours before the end of the current trial/subscription period
b) You can cancel anytime with your iTunes account settings

This version comes with a new Map UI for iOS 26 and beyond.
You can search POIs using:
A search Term,
Or,
Combination of a search Term and search Category,
Or,
A search Category,
Quick Search Keyword buttons offer you a set of ready options for your new search Term.
Map Controls available are:
a) Map Scale view - appears while you are zooming in or out
b) User Location button - always present
c) Map Pitch Toggle button - appears when you tilt the Map. The Map Scale does NOT appear for a pitched Map.
d) Map Compass button - appears when you rotate the Map.
The default state of the Map view shows a '+' button.
Tapping this brings up:
1) Category search bar
2) Quick Search toolbars invoker buttons
The Map shows two translucent circles on the map,
centered at your current location,
having radii of 2000 m and 5000 m respectively.
These give an approximate idea of which places are nearby.
For more accurate info - like ETA to a search result annotation pin,
you'd need to tap on the pin.
Tapping a search result pin brings up the POI Details popup.
This popup displays information about the POI.
On the map a route is drawn from your current location, to the tapped POI pin.
The popup displays the ETA to this POI.
Moving/panning the map shows more results for the active search term/category.
