Cook's Memory
iOS Universel / Cuisine et boissons
Cook’s Memory is an application for people who like to cook and invite others to share their meals. It does three things:
1. It serves as an index or catalog for your favorite recipes. It stores information about the recipe and your experience with it, as well as where you can find it (in a cookbook, a card in a card-file, a paper copy, or even a web URL) so you can find it easily when you want it.
2. It serves a meal planner, whether just for you and your family or for a multitude.
3. It extends information stored about your guests. Besides their contact info, you can include information about food preferences, allergies, dietary restrictions, etc. When you define a guest list for a meal, Cook’s Memory uses this information to help you plan a meal your guests can eat and enjoy.
What Cook’s Memory is NOT is an app for collecting and storing recipes. Becoause, seriously, who wants to spend the time and effort to type in your favorite recipes, particularly when they already exist somewhere else.
Quoi de neuf dans la dernière version ?
• Cloud-based Data Synchronization. If you install Cook’s Memory on more than one device, your data will stay in sync on all of them. This also means that your iCloud account serves as a backup for your data. This feature replaces the data import/export features of previous versions.
• MacOS Support. Previously, Cook’s Memory ran on iPhone and iPad devices. With version 2.7, we have extended that support to desktop and laptop Macs that use Apple Silicon processors.
• Key Ingredients. A new user interface makes it easier (and more intuitive) to associated key ingredients with a recipe.
• Recipe Photos. Previously, you could include a gallery of photos with each party, but only one photo with a recipe. Now you can enter as many recipe photos as you wish.
• Party Menus. The process of building a menu for a party has been revamped to make it easier and more intuitive to build a menu, including both items which have associated Cook’s Memory recipes and items which don’t.
• Frequent Guests. You and members of your family are frequent guests at your meals (i.e., parties). You may have others who you invite frequently. Cook’s Memory allows you to mark people as frequent guests and to add them all to your party guest list with a single tap.
• General Improvements. Cook’s Memory now supports iOS 17.0 and later, iPadOS 17.0 and later, and macOS 14.0 and later. This has allowed us to modernize the application in a number of ways.
