Government inspectors visit everything from restaurants to school cafeterias to grocery stores, multiple times a year, to check for health code violations. SafeDish aggregates reports from various municipalities with disparate methods of storing inspection reports, and makes them available, in the palm of your hand! Instantly view inspection scores for nearby locations, or use our lightning fast search for places a little further away.

The level of detail available in an inspection report may vary depending on the municipality. Scoring methods and grading scales may also vary across municipalities, so scores are color coded based on a normalized score. To report data accuracy issues or missing locations, please contact us at support@platypuslabs.llc.

We fetch our data from local health departments who are responsible for conducting the inspections and transcribing the reports. The source of each inspection is clearly marked at the bottom of each inspection. We try our best to accurately represent the data provided by local governments, and we are not affiliated with any governmental entity.
