Thp-Combustion
iOS Universel / developpeurs
THP-Combustion measures the harmonic coherence of internal combustion — a single number from 0 to 1 that tells you whether your engine is still operating as itself.
It does not replace STAR-CCM+, GT-Power, or AVL CAMEO. It reads their outputs and gives you a direction: where to look, what is drifting, and how far from the engine's own best state.
HOW IT WORKS
Every cycle, the app evaluates three coherence axes:
• Field — discharge coefficient, charge motion, mixture preparation, spray quality
• Flow — spark timing vs MBT, burn duration, heat release phasing, peak pressure
• Efficiency — IMEP, thermal efficiency, knock intensity, emissions (CO, HC, NOx)
Each variable is compared against a calibrated reference using asymmetric exponential decay with per-variable sensitivity. The three axes combine into a weighted THP score via the HCA v4 method. A peak-temperature safety gate attenuates the score when thermal limits are approached.
FIVE FUEL PROFILES
Gasoline F1 2026, Gasoline Road, E-Fuel Synthetic, Hydrogen Lean Burn, and Diesel CI — each with its own reference values and axis weights.
GRACE STATE
The highest stable THP your specific engine configuration has demonstrated. Two engines at THP 0.79 mean different things if one peaked at 0.95 and the other never passed 0.82. Grace State captures this. It learns per profile and persists across sessions.
LIVE MONITOR
Connect your iPad or Mac to a test bench DAQ, GT-Power co-simulation, or STAR-CCM+ export via UDP on port 55157 (configurable). The app displays THP, three coherence gauges, a real-time coherence map, and physics insights — all updating live. No post-processing required.
SMART PASTE
Paste or drag CSV, JSON, or plain text from any source. The parser auto-detects STAR-CCM+ monitor tables, GT-Power GT-POST exports, AVL FIRE cycle output, and generic CSV. Multi-cycle analysis shows trajectory, cycle-to-cycle variability, and average THP.
PHYSICS INSIGHTS
Every analysis generates diagnostics grounded in established combustion literature — Heywood (1988), Stone (1999), and Turns (2012). The app tells you what is happening, why it matters, and what to review.
SESSION EXPORT
Export your session as Markdown or CSV from Settings. All data stays on your device — no cloud, no tracking, no accounts.
