The pile lifts away in tidy equal groups, shown as a clear equation like 12 = 4 × 3, and you bank every stone. Nothing divides cleanly? Take the smallest pile as a half handful, or re-toss once. When the ground is clear, the most stones banked wins, and an equal score is a gentle tie, so nobody feels left out.
