What is HSK?
HSK stands for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (Chinese: 汉语水平考试) which is the standard Chinese test in mainland China. You can take either a written HSK exam, or an online exam. If you want to study in a Chinese university, or work in a Chinese company, this is the test they use to measure your Chinese level. Entry into a Chinese university normally requires HSK 4, HSK 5 or HSK 6

After finishing book 1, which covers 173 words and 93 sentence patterns, students should be ready to pass Level 1 of the HSK.
Upon completion of Book, the students will have acquired a total vocabulary of 430 Words and 216 sentence patterns, which should enable them to pass HSK Level 2.
By the end of Book 3, students will have mastered a total of 804 words and 339 sentence patterns, preparing them to pass HSK Leverl 3.
