Welcome to the ultimate flashcard app for learning Chinese! This app is designed to make your language-learning journey interactive, intuitive, and fun. Let’s walk you through its main features:
The main screen features four sections: Flashcards, Vocabulary, Stories, and Settings. Each section offers a unique learning experience to enhance your skills.
When you press on the Flashcards button, you’ll be asked to select your HSK level, ranging from HSK 1 to HSK 5. After choosing your level, you’ll be prompted to decide whether you’d like to see the flashcards with the English word first or the Chinese word. Once selected, you’ll be taken to the flashcard screen. In the center, you’ll see a flashcard with the word in yellow, and underneath it, there’s a Listen button to hear the word pronounced in Chinese. At the top right, you’ll find a counter showing how many words you know (in green) and how many you don’t (in red).
Swipe the flashcard to the right if you know the word—it will be removed from your deck. If you don’t know the word, swipe it to the left, and it will be placed back in the deck to practice again.
Press the Vocabulary on main screen section after selecting your level, and you’ll be able to view a list of all the words in that particular level. This helps you track your progress and review vocabulary at any time.
The Stories section offers various short stories in Chinese. Select a story title to open it, and you’ll read the story in Chinese, Pinyin, and English. It’s a great way to practice reading comprehension and expand your vocabulary in context.
If you want to reset your progress or start fresh, simply press the Settings button. This will reset the app and clear your flashcard progress, giving you a clean slate.
