UmActually
iPhone / Education
You know the feeling. You're mid-sentence in a pitch, an interview, a podcast — and you hear yourself say it. Um. Uh. Like. You know.
UmActually turns fixing that into a game.
Tap record. Get a topic. Speak for 30, 60, or 90 seconds. The app listens, transcribes everything you said, and scores you on two things at once.
→ FILLER SCORE: How clean was your delivery? Every "um" costs you points. Every "you know" costs more. Run out and you lose.
→ RELEVANCE SCORE: Did you actually answer the question? Apple Intelligence reads your transcript and grades — out of 100 — how well you stayed on topic. With one honest sentence of feedback.

ABOUT APPLE INTELLIGENCE
The AI-generated topics and relevance grading use Apple Intelligence on iPhone 15 Pro and newer. Without it, the app still works fully — topics come from a curated list and filler scoring is unchanged.
REQUIREMENTS
• iPhone running iOS 26 or later
• Microphone access
• Apple Intelligence (optional, recommended) for AI features
Most "speak better" apps tell you what to do. UmActually catches you doing it and turns the moment into a number you watch tick down. The feedback loop is immediate, gamified, and just embarrassing enough to be motivating.
You don't get fluent by reading about fluency. You get fluent by talking — and noticing when you're not.
Three minutes. One topic. Try it.
