We’ve made some exciting updates to serve you better and make banking simpler, faster, and more secure.
1. New 24-Hour Protection Hold for Added Security: To strengthen protection against scams, related digital banking transactions will now be reviewed if your total outgoing transactions in the last 24 hours exceed 50% of your account balance. The triggering transaction and any subsequent ones may be held for up to 24 hours or rejected. This gives you valuable time to spot any suspicious activity and act quickly in the CIMB Mobile App.
2. Phase-out of SMS OTP for Login (Digital Token Users): If you already use Digital Token, SMS OTP for login on devices where the app is installed but the token isn’t set up will be phased out. For a smoother and more secure login, please enable Digital Token on your current device.
Thanks to your feedback, we have also fixed a couple of issues and made some performance updates.
