You read labels. You deserve an app that actually understands them.

Is It Vegan? is the only scanner that checks your shampoo, your supplements, and your cereal — and tells you exactly what's in them, in plain English, in seconds.
Scan anything.

Point your camera at a barcode or directly at an ingredient list. If the product isn't in any database, the app reads the label itself using your camera and analyzes it with AI. No switching modes. No dead ends. No "product not found."

Works where you shop.
The local ingredient dictionary and your scan history work completely offline. No signal in the grocery aisle? No problem. Previously scanned products load instantly. Only the toughest edge cases need a connection.

Four answers, one scan.
Every product gets classified across four dimensions simultaneously — vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free. Color-coded results make it instant: green means yes, red means no, amber means the app genuinely isn't sure and tells you why.

Not just food.
Most scanner apps only check groceries. Is It Vegan? searches across food, cosmetics, skincare, haircare, supplements, and personal care products. Check your lipstick and your protein powder with the same app.

Honest about uncertainty.
Ingredients like glycerin, mono and diglycerides, and vitamin D3 can come from plants or animals depending on the manufacturer. Most apps guess. This one flags them as uncertain and explains why — because a wrong answer is worse than no answer.

No jargon. Ever.
When something is flagged, the app tells you why in language anyone can understand. "Casein is a protein derived from cow's milk" — not a chemistry lesson.

Smarter about gluten.
Wheat grass is gluten-free. Oats are uncertain. Barley malt is not. The gluten classification runs independently from vegan status so you get accurate results on both, without one affecting the other.

Facility warnings done right.
"May contain traces of eggs" is a cross-contamination warning, not an ingredient. The app shows it as an informational note without changing the verdict — because a factory disclaimer shouldn't make your pasta not vegan.

Built for real labels.
Handles nested ingredients, sub-ingredients in parentheses, "contains 2% or less of" sections, allergen statements, and Drug Facts panels. The parser strips the noise and analyzes only what matters.

Built for people who actually read the label.
