Craig and Mark Long started their martial arts training in York in 1995. They feel extremely honoured and lucky for being taught under the expert guidance of Paul Lynch. Paul inspired and taught them not only to be the martial artists but also the people they turned out to be. Both brothers got hooked on martial arts very quickly and were eager to start competing as soon as possible.


Craig and Mark were soon competing and winning many local area and national titles. They were both selected to represent England & Great Britain kickboxing teams and have travelled around Europe competing in many prestigious events that have earned them a very respectable reputation in the martial arts community.


Craig originally founded his martial arts academy back in 2003 and has produced many world class martial artists, British, European & World Champions. Craig has lots of passion and with his unique motivational teaching style brings the best out in all of his students.


Although Mark has stayed active and carried on winning many titles, he recently became a partner with Craig and added extreme value with his knowledge and passion. With the addition of Mark, Long's Black Belt Schools was then born!


The club then quickly expanded their schools into Wetherby run by Chantal Pratt, Deb Wilkinson-Lewin and Rob Wilkinson-Lewin, and then into Copmanthorpe, Haxby, Selby and Doncaster run by Nicole Pratt and Ryan Garbutt and there team of Instructors.


Recently we have rebranded the clubs to MartialArts4u as with the success we have now grown to have three full time clubs, and now teach at 4 Schools in Yorkshire to drive the benefits of martial arts into Schools.


The aim of the club is to offer valuable life skills through martial arts tuition and to produce many more champions, not only in competition but champions in life!
