Notably Good is a gratitude journal that encourages you to record three notably good things at a time you choose each day or periodically if you prefer. The purpose of this exercise, studied as part of the field of positive psychology, is to improve your overall mood, happiness, positivity, and resilience by taking the time to record the positive things you did or which happened to you. This exercise helps you to avoid excessive preoccupation with bad outcomes, a natural phenomenon known as negativity bias. The goal is not to avoid or ignore such outcomes, but to put them in perspective to improve resilience and promote a constructive internal dialogue. The app allows you to set up reminders, enable encouragement alerts, change fonts and theme colors, and has an optional login screen (in app purchase) to help ensure privacy. No personal data is shared outside the iOS environment, including backups. Notes are saved locally on the device and are deleted when the app is deleted. Encouragement alerts can be shared on social media platforms when they appear.
