RISE is a wellness app designed with innovative ways to help people lose weight. The 52-week program focuses on healthy eating, exercise, and behavior change with personalized feedback and motivational tools. RISE includes multimedia lessons, recipes, resources, and social support. Users connect their Fitbit account to RISE. HealthKit is integrated with RISE to allow access to users’ health data such as weight, exercise, and nutrition from Fitbit and allow for weekly tailored progress graphs. Users do not directly interact with the HealthKit app and are made aware that their data is being collected through the application with the provision to opt-out.
