Driftbound: Idle Space RPG
iPhone / Jeux
Command your ship, build your fortune, and drift ever deeper into a living galaxy.
Driftbound is a relaxing idle space RPG. Pilot a single ship through a vast procedural universe - mining, crafting, trading and fighting your way from the safe core worlds out to the lawless rim. Progress never stops: the simulation keeps running while you're away, so every time you return your holds are fuller and your credits have grown.
No ads interrupting you. No pay-to-win. No account required. Just you, your ship, and the long haul.
THE LOOP
- Mine asteroid belts, harvest gas clouds, refine ore and fabricate components.
- Scan deep space to uncover hidden anomalies and rare salvage.
- Buy low and sell high across a simulated, station-local economy where distance creates real trade routes.
- Take haul contracts and bounty work from the bulletin board.
UPGRADE YOUR SHIP
- Fit six module slots — engine, cargo, mining laser, weapons, missiles and shields.
- Multiple module tiers, a perk tree, and rare gear earned far out in the deep.
- Every upgrade earns faster — the classic idle engine of earn, upgrade, earn faster.
EXPLORE A HIERARCHICAL UNIVERSE
- Galaxies, systems and bodies, all procedurally generated and seeded.
- Plot courses across a gate network; autopilot flies the multi-hop route — even offline.
- Security ratings fall the deeper you push: more danger, far better loot.
FIGHT PIRATES
- Idle ship-to-ship combat with shields, weapons, missiles and auto-engaging batteries.
- Win a fight and the moment lands — a victory flourish with confetti and fireworks.
- Resolves fairly whether you're watching live or away — no nasty surprises.
SMUGGLE & RUN THE LAW
- Customs checkpoints scan you at the warp gates — pay the fine, bribe, run, or fight.
- Carry contraband from the lawless rim into the wealthy core, where the black market pays the most.
- Earn a bounty and the Sector Police come hunting — fit a Smuggler's Hold to slip past, or clear your name at a Security Office.
COLLECT & RAISE SPACE PETS
- Hatch rare eggs in a station incubator — incubation runs in real time, even while you're away.
- Equip a companion for a powerful buff; feed it to level up. Pets carry through prestige.
FLY ONLINE — OR SOLO (OPTIONAL)
- See other real pilots docked at your station or flying your sector — anonymous, no account, no email.
- Wave hello or spar a snapshot of their ship — a friendly duel with nothing at stake, win or lose.
- Build a pilot worth showing off: a 26-strong Trophy Cabinet of achievements, collectable Outfitter suits, your pets and your record.
- Prefer to fly quiet? Flip on Do Not Disturb, or switch online off entirely in Settings — it's never required to play.
A GALAXY WITH A STORY
- Follow the main story campaign plus five faction questlines and side chains.
- Earn pilot ranks, fill a persistent Codex, claim daily rewards and ride weekly galaxy-wide events.
PRESTIGE & THE LONG GAME
- Re-enlist to bank Renown and spend it at the Admiralty on fleet-wide perks that carry across every future run.
BUILT FOR IDLE
- True offline progression using the exact same logic as live play — return to a meaningful welcome-back summary.
- A single active action and a fixed-tick simulation: deterministic, offline-safe and fair.
- Crisp pixel-art ships, worlds and stations; a calm cockpit-HUD interface.
- Playable in 8 languages.
Strap in, pilot. The drift is calling.
Quoi de neuf dans la dernière version ?
Driftbound 1.2.10 - quality-of-life, straight from the sub
A big batch of player-requested polish from r/Driftbound (thanks u/Toodle122) - all optional, all offline-safe - plus a stability fix.
FIXED
• Fixed a rare crash: if the call-sign sheet asked the relay whether a name was free and the answer came back AFTER you'd closed the sheet, the game could quit. Most likely on a first run, on a slower connection. The late reply is now simply ignored.
• Ship slot names no longer clip. "Overdrive Capacitor" and the like read cleanly instead of getting shaved at both ends.
• Cargo grouping sticks. Your grouped / sorted hold view is remembered across restarts.
• Live recipe counts. The "have N" numbers under each craft update as you gather and spend, instead of only when you reopen the panel.
• Outfit set bonuses are visible at last. The Wardrobe now spells out the active set's bonus (e.g. "+5% trade margin, +10% scan speed"), and when you're a few pieces in, what finishing the set would grant.
NEW
• Lock & Trash your cargo. Lock an item and "Sell all" will never touch it - bulk-sell the junk, keep your keepers. Mark others as Trash and clear them all in one tap with "Dump trash".
• Auto-dump while mining. Switch it on in Settings › Cargo to jettison low-rarity finds the moment you gather them, so your hold stops clogging with commons. Mining only - never your crafted goods, and never a Locked item.
• Your abilities, listed. Each skill now has a "▸ Abilities" view showing what you've unlocked and the level it unlocked at - so you can check whether you can already mine a given ore without warping out to try. It never spoils anything you haven't discovered yet, and the list survives a re-enlistment.
• Quick-stack to the Vault. One button tops up only the items you already keep in storage, leaving fresh loot in the hold.
• Real per-unit prices. Bulk buying or selling now shows the true effective price per unit - a big order rides the market, so it drifts from the sticker price.
• Auto-stop shows its progress. A capped gather or craft now reads "+195 Titanium Plate of 250" in the status bar, so a limited run never looks like your pilot just went idle.
Your save carries over untouched - every new toggle simply starts switched off.
Keep the feedback coming - it shapes what we build next.
