RagnaBlox is a Norse-mythic puzzle game where every piece is a living rune, every cleared line is a ritual, and every game is a saga waiting to be written.
THE RUNES
Seven rune-bearing pieces descend from above, each carrying the weight of ancient meaning:
- Isa: Ice and stillness
- Jera: Harvest and cycles
- Laguz: Water and flow
- Othala: Homeland and legacy
- Sowilo: Sun and victory
- Tiwaz: Tyr, the warrior
- Algiz: Protection
These aren't just shapes. They're symbols with power and in Ragna Mode, that power can be awakened.
BIND RUNES: THE SECRET BENEATH EVERY CLEAR
When you clear a line, the game doesn't just count the rows, it reads the runes. If two compatible rune blocks are resting side-by-side in the cleared row, an ancient Bind Rune is
inscribed:
- Frozen Warrior (Isa + Tiwaz) — Ice meets warrior. Earn bonus score.
- Sunlit Sea (Sowilo + Laguz) — Sun over water. Double your clear score.
- Harvest Home (Jera + Othala) — Harvest brought home. Charge Mjolnir by two.
- Death Ice (Algiz + Isa) — The frost of death. Forces a Storm piece to fall next.
- Tyr's Victory (Tiwaz + Sowilo) — Warrior under the sun. Triggers Ragnarök itself.
Stack with purpose. Position your runes so the right symbols land side by side. A single clear can inscribe multiple Bind Runes if you've read the board right.
RAGNARÖK
Clear four lines at once and call down the fury of the Norse gods. Lightning crashes, the board trembles, and the sky tears open. Tyr's Victory can trigger Ragnarök from even a single cleared line if you've placed your runes wisely.
MJOLNIR
Your hammer charge builds through powerful play. Bind Runes, multi-line clears, and quick thinking fill the meter. When it's full, strike. Mjolnir obliterates rows instantly, reshaping the board in a single blow.
STORM CLEARS
Death Ice calls a Storm piece onto the field. When it locks into place, lightning chains across the board in a wild, crackling purge.
GAME MODES
Classic - Pure puzzle. Stack, clear, survive. No runes, no mythology — just skill and speed.
Ragna Mode - The full Norse experience. Bind Runes, Ragnarök, Mjolnir, and Storms are all live. Stack with intention. Read the runes. Forge your saga.
Challenges - Test your mastery:
- Sprint: Clear 40 lines as fast as possible
- Bind Rune Master: Inscribe 5 Bind Runes in a single run
- Ragnarök Rampage: Achieve 3 Ragnarök clears in one game
- Storm's Eye: Trigger 5 Storm clears in one game
