Noob TV
macOS / Divertissement
Noob TV creates a library from your tv shows folder and lets you create schedules and then generate playlists which you can play in VLC media player or Noob Player. This simulates the experience of television and you can have multiple schedules for instance one schedule for comedies and another for drama. Indexing a large library can take a long time. If you have 20.000 episodes or more you can expect indexing to take a minute or two.To start using Noob TV go to preferences and choose your TV shows folder and playlist folder location (where generated playlists will be saved). After indexing is completed create a new schedule, choose a schedule name and click save. Then you can start adding shows to your schedule, type a show name in to the text field, if the field turns green when you click the field below the show is registered and saved in the schedule. Make sure your field turns green when you click the next field below each to register a show. After listing all the shows in the schedule you can generate the schedule, and you can choose schedule iterations (which means the schedule is iterated through the chosen number of times making the outputted playlist longer). Then the playlist file is saved in the playlist folder location. Due to limitations you must reselect your TV shows folder with a folder picker each time you reindex your library. Noob TV also lets you create Smart Templates which give you the ability to create endless variations based on a schedule you like or designed from scratch by using color tags assigned to TV shows. You can automatically assign color tags to shows in the preferences pane.
