Pro Audio Converter
macOS / Musique
Pro Audio Converter is a fast, batch audio converter for macOS. Drop in dozens of files, pick one or more output formats, and let it run multi-threaded across every CPU core.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Multi-threaded batch conversion to several output formats in a single pass.
• Full metadata read and write, including multi-value fields and tags outside the standard set (MusicBrainz IDs, ReplayGain values, sort orders, and more). Cross-format equivalents are mapped automatically so tags survive the conversion.
• Tag editor mode. Update metadata on existing files without re-encoding.
• Custom output naming. Build output paths and file names from metadata fields like artist, album, and track number.
• Configurable sample-rate conversion (Mastering, Normal, Fast) and bit-depth dithering (TPDF, Noise Shaping).
• Smart content-based file detection. Audio files with the wrong extension, or no extension at all, import correctly.
• Raw and headerless audio support. Drop a .raw or .pcm file, or a Sound Designer II file whose resource fork has been stripped, and supply sample rate, bit depth, and channel count in a single sheet.
• Optional automatic add of converted files to the Music app.
• Native Apple Silicon support.

Quoi de neuf dans la dernière version ?
NEW
• Import raw PCM and recovered SD2 files. Drop a .raw or .pcm file, or a Sound Designer II file whose resource fork has been stripped, and supply sample rate, bit depth, and channel count in a single sheet.
• Smarter file-type detection. Audio files are now recognized by their contents rather than their extension, so files with the wrong extension or no extension at all import cleanly. The Open panel includes an "All Files" toggle for picking extensionless audio.
• Source-file tags pass through to converted files, with cross-format equivalents mapped automatically so metadata carries through the conversion intact.
• Multi-value tag support. Fields like Composer, Artist, and Album Artist that carry multiple values in the source file are joined for display and split back into multiple values on save. A new Multi-Value Separator setting (Settings, Metadata) lets you pick which separator to use.
• Configurable sample-rate conversion quality and bit-depth dithering. A new Settings, Audio tab lets you pick between Mastering, Normal, and Fast for sample-rate conversion, and between None, TPDF, and Noise Shaping for dither on bit-depth reductions.
IMPROVED
• Refreshed the main window for a cleaner, more modern look. The file count now appears as the window subtitle in the macOS standard style.
• Per-file progress bars in the queue have been rebuilt for smoother updates and instant clearing when you stop an encode.
FIXED
• Album artwork is no longer lost when reading FLAC files that contain more than one PICTURE block.
• Improved decoding of multi-channel files that don't carry a well-defined channel layout. These would previously fail with a matrix-mixer error.
