Typyst faithfully recreates the experience of hearing every nuance of an authentic set of typewriters using your keyboard. The sounds were recorded in the same environment you would actually use a typewriter and edited to sound amazing in earbuds, over a pair of desktop speakers or even in a world-class studio. Also provides metrics on your typing speed and consistency.

Currently offering the sounds of the Olympia SM3, Royal Model-P and Smith-Corona Silent models.

This is a large addition to Typyst and a major version increment, with improvements the user interface, color choices, dark mode feel and user interactivity with the app.

It adds a new tool for writers, with a set of documents that dynamically layout to the size of the window. It also has a built-in view for Google Docs if you'd prefer to do your writing on another platform but hear Typyst while working. The writing views also feature animated versions of the typewriters that look and feel like the ones you hear while typing and when using the built-in document feature, moves the current page as if it were loaded in the typewriter.

Finally, there is now a walk-through video that helps add Typyst to system settings to use it externally with other apps if you enjoy hearing the sound of typewriters while coding, writing in another program, just smashing your keyboard for fun.
