Every other app still relying on Intel translation will simply stop working. Rosetta Check helps you get ahead of it — not with a one-time scan, but as a persistent companion that tracks, monitors, and guides your Mac's journey to fully native Apple Silicon.

Install Rosetta Check once and leave it running in your menu bar. It monitors your Applications folder in real time using macOS Spotlight. Install a new Intel app from anywhere — the App Store, a DMG, Homebrew — and you'll get a notification within seconds. Remove one, and your readiness score updates instantly. No manual scanning needed.
SMART RECOMMENDATIONS
For every Intel app on your Mac, Rosetta Check provides AI-powered recommendations from the RosettaCheck community — curated suggestions based on what thousands of other users have replaced, complete with descriptions and direct links.
You don't have to figure out what to replace each app with. The answer is right there in the detail view.
DEEP APP INTELLIGENCE
Every app on your Mac is scanned using Spotlight metadata and deep Mach-O binary inspection. Each one is classified as Intel, Universal, or Apple Silicon with a colour-coded badge. Double-click any app for a rich detail view: architecture breakdown, version, bundle ID, disk size, impact score, distribution source, AI description, and replacement recommendations.
TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
Every scan is recorded automatically. A stacked bar chart shows your app landscape evolving over time — Intel apps shrinking, native apps growing. Trend indicators confirm you're heading in the right direction. Look back across weeks or months to see how far you've come.
EXPORT & SHARE
Export your full app inventory as CSV or JSON for IT audits, compliance reviews, or sharing with your team. Copy a formatted summary to your clipboard in one click.
PRIVACY & TRANSPARENCY
Rosetta Check runs locally on your Mac. Community Sharing is entirely opt-in — when enabled, anonymous Intel app metadata is contributed to help others find alternatives, and you receive AI-powered recommendations in return. Community sharing is off by default and can be toggled at any time in Settings. No personal information is ever collected. Fully sandboxed, built with SwiftUI and Apple's native APIs.
MDM & ENTERPRISE
Rosetta Check supports MDM managed preferences for zero-touch enterprise deployment. IT administrators can lock down settings, enable automatic exports, suppress prompts, and enforce launch-at-login — all via a standard macOS configuration profile. Auto-exported scan results use a single, predictable filename that collection scripts can harvest across your fleet. New in 1.24: generate an anonymous Enterprise Fleet ID at rosettacheck.com/mdm and push it to your Macs as a managed preference — enrolled devices will tag their anonymous community uploads with the fleet ID, giving you a private dashboard of the Intel apps reported across your fleet with no accounts, email, or login required. Starting with macOS 26.4, users see a pop-up warning each time an Intel app is launched. MDM administrators can suppress these warnings by deploying a restrictions profile with the allowRosettaUsageAwareness key set to false.
