VPN Guard is a small status menu application that monitors your built-in macOS VPN connections and keeps them connected.
PLEASE NOTE: The app handles only the VPN connections that you can create and configure from the macOS System Preferences > Network pane (Cisco IPSec and L2TP over IPSec).
Currently available features
• Monitoring VPN connections’ status and connection time
• Automatically and continuously keeping VPN connections alive and connected
• Receiving macOS notifications about any VPN connection status changes
• Simple macOS status menu interface
Any feature requests and bug reports are highly welcome!
Known issues and limitations
• Currently, only the built-in Cisco IPSec and L2TP over IPSec VPNs are supported.
• From version 1.0.19 onward, connections created by third-party VPN applications are also enumerated; however, depending on the owner of the connection, there may be cases that VPNGuard cannot handle.
• Currently, only the default service configuration is supported for each VPN service. I will try to figure out how to retrieve all configuration information later.
