drtagger
iOS Universel / Musique
drtagger is a focused metadata editor for audiophile music libraries. It works directly against your NAS over WebDAV, edits whole albums at a
time, and never touches a single audio frame.
BUILT FOR LOSSLESS
Supports FLAC, WAV and DSF — the formats audiophile rips actually use. Read and rewrite tags in place; the audio payload is preserved
byte-for-byte so MD5 verification still passes after every save.
ALBUM-CENTRIC WORKFLOW
Open a folder and drtagger parses every track at once, presents the album as a single object, and shows the candidate releases from MusicBrainz
and Discogs side by side. Multi-disc rips with Disc 1 / Disc 2 / Art subfolders are detected automatically.
FIND THE EXACT PRESSING
Catalog numbers buried in your existing tags are mined as search hints, so Japanese SHM-CDs, MoFi One-Steps and audiophile reissues surface
immediately. Tap an artwork scan to read its OBI strip, catalog code or EAN-13 barcode with on-device Vision recognition — drtagger looks the
exact pressing up on Discogs in one tap.
SAFE BY DESIGN
Every apply writes a timestamped JSON backup of the original tags to the album folder before anything is rewritten. A built-in restore flow
rolls any album back to a previous backup. Writes are atomic (.tmp + MOVE on the server), so a crash mid-save can never leave a half-written
file.
COVER ART
When the candidate brings a canonical front cover (Cover Art Archive or Discogs primary), drtagger fetches the high-resolution image and
replaces your local cover.jpg, backing up the original first.
DEEP LINKING
A drtagger:// URL scheme lets your music player hand off the current album folder for tagging — no copy/paste of paths.
Designed for people who care which pressing they're listening to.
