Drum ID recognizes thousands of instruments across every percussion tradition: western drum kits, cymbals, hand drums, orchestral percussion, Latin and Afro-Cuban percussion, West African, Brazilian, Middle Eastern, Indian classical, and more. It identifies brands by their design language even when the badge is not visible — reading shell wraps, lug shapes, hardware finish, and construction details to deliver confident, specific results.
Every identification returns the brand, model, series, shell material, head type, hoop style, hardware finish, estimated size, notable players, tuning notes, approximate market value, and a confidence rating. Results include direct links to the manufacturer catalog, Reverb, and Pro Drum Shop.
AR MEASUREMENT
On LiDAR-equipped iPhones (iPhone 12 Pro and later), the Measure tab uses augmented reality to calculate exact drum dimensions. Aim the crosshair, set two points, and Drum ID calculates diameter or depth to the nearest inch. Saved measurements are automatically included with your next identification, giving the AI confirmed dimensions to work with alongside the image.
METRONOME
A full-featured metronome with time signatures from 1/4 to 13/8, adjustable tempo from 20 to 280 BPM, and multiple click sounds including spoken count-in numbers. The count voice is the clearest way to internalize subdivisions and feel time at any tempo.
DRUMMER PROFILE
Set your kit brand, cymbal brand, percussion brand, drum head brand, and primary genre during a one-time onboarding. Drum ID uses your gear selections to generate a personalized instrument guide for your genre. Tap any instrument to open a full reference card — powered by AI — showing specs, typical price range, notable players, a pro playing tip, and direct links to search for it on Reverb and Pro Drum Shop.
