- New: OBS (Observation Only) Button
You can now record non-coded observations on your EICRs — items that are noteworthy but don't carry a C1, C2, C3 or FI deficiency code.
A new blue OBS button sits alongside the existing code buttons. Use it for:
- Compliant items worth noting (e.g. "Installation uses pre-harmonised cable colours throughout")
- General comments about the installation condition
- Client advisories that aren't deficiencies
- Positive findings demonstrating thoroughness
On the PDF certificate, OBS items display as "Observation only" in the code column, clearly distinguishing them from coded deficiencies.
- Fixed: Reference Methods A and B were missing from the Circuit Designer installation method picker. Users selecting "Singles in Conduit" cable type could not select these methods, forcing incorrect use of Method C which gives higher (less conservative) current ratings.
Improvement
The reference method picker now dynamically filters to show only valid methods for the selected cable type:
