We’ve created the PlantwisePlus Factsheets app so that Plant Doctors, extension workers and farmers can have free access to the full range of the most up-to-date, relevant material with the safest advice, on mobile devices. The app will periodically check our servers for updates to factsheets so it’s possible to keep you informed about what experts consider to be today’s safest and most effective management techniques.
The app is available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Nepali and Swahili.
COUNTRY PACKS
Download a country pack to access relevant crop health content which can then be accessed offline. You can choose to download a pack with or without images depending on your internet connectivity and available device storage.
FACTSHEETS
PlantwisePlus factsheets are written by partners in PlantwisePlus countries specifically for farmer needs. They give a quick outline of how to recognize a crop problem, background information, and step-by-step instructions on how to manage the issue. Factsheets may go into detail about one particular management technique or may list several management options. Localised weather information is also shown, to help support decisions around when to apply recommended practices.
Factsheets are validated by technical reviewers to check that the recommendations are safe and follow approved scientific principles.
PLANT DIAGNOSIS TOOL
The Plant Diagnosis Tool, powered by Plantix, allows you to submit a photo of your affected crop, and get guidance on what is affecting it, and how to manage this problem.
CROP SPRAYER
The Crop Sprayer tool will help to make the calculations required to ensure crop protection products are applied as you intended. The app calculates the amount of product concentrate to use, the total amount of product required and the number of tanks required to spray an area.
PLANTWISEPLUS
PlantwisePlus is a global programme, led by CABI, to increase food security and improve rural livelihoods by reducing crop losses. We work with countries to provide good advice to farmers at local plant clinics, and now this advice is available in your factsheet library wherever you go.
