ChaFu
iPhone / Style de vie
ChaFu is a tea journal, gongfu timer, and learning companion for people who take their tea seriously - and for everyone who is just getting started.
Whether you brew shu puerh in a yixing pot, sip a quiet morning sencha, or are pouring your very first gaiwan, ChaFu helps you slow down, taste more, and remember every cup.
What you can do
- Build your tea library
Add the teas and teaware you actually own. Track type, origin, year, vendor, and your own tasting notes. Photos welcome. New accounts start with a small starter library so you can brew on day one.
- Brew with a real gongfu timer
A 5-step session wizard walks you from "pick a tea" to "rate the cup." Pre-set steep times for white, green, yellow, red, oolong, roasted oolong, shu puerh, sheng puerh, hei cha, and herbal. Adjust leaf, water, and vessel size. The timer pours a calm water-fill animation while you wait, taps your wrist when it's time, and counts your infusions up to fifteen.
- Keep a real tea journal
Every session is saved. Rate it, write notes, attach photos, and brew it again with one tap. Your steep history travels with you.
- Share with the community
Post a session to the Feed and see what other tea drinkers are pouring. Like, comment, save the brews you want to try, and fork someone else's session into your own. Or stay private - sharing is always your call.
- Talk to Cha, your AI tea expert
Cha lives inside the app and knows tea. Ask why your sheng tastes bitter, how to wake up an old-aged oolong, or what gaiwan size suits your kitchen. Cha pulls from a curated tea knowledge base, not just guesswork.
- Level up your tea life
Every brew earns XP. Climb fifteen levels, unlock nineteen badges, and keep weekly streaks alive. Your home screen grows a journey path of every milestone you hit. It's quietly motivating - like a kettle that never sleeps.
ChaFu is a small, independent project made by a tea drinker. It will keep growing - but the goal stays the same: help you taste your tea more carefully, one session at a time.
Brew slowly. Drink well.
